Phil Jackson and Los Angeles Lakers president and co-owner Jeanie Buss have
called off their engagement, the 71-year-old New York Knicks president
announced Tuesday night.

The pair got engaged in December 2012. According to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell
and Ramona Shelburne, they had been dating since 1999, when Jackson began

Jackson tweeted out the joint statement just before 11 p.m. ET as the Lakers
