KLAY THOMPSON is reportedly considering a contract extension with the Golden
State Warriors this summer which will hugely hamper his potential earnings in
the future.

But, according to report from Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, the four-time
All-Star is already in talks about a contract extension this summer.

It is said the offer on the table would be a four-year, $92m extension -
nearly $50m less than what he would receive as a best offer from an opposing
team if he hit the open market.

However, the price quoted is significantly lower than the $188m he would be
eligible for if he stuck with the Warriors in free agency.

Thompson has repeatedly spoken of his desire to retire with Golden State and
him taking a pay-cut would likely mean the team won’t have to sacrifice
