Kendrick Perkins says his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant
wasn’t surprised the Golden State Warriors downgraded the severity of an
Andre Iguodala injury during the 2018 NBA Playoffs.

Durant returned from a calf injury during this past postseason only to
rupture his Achilles tendon in the most critical of situations — Game 5 of
the Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Durant would leave the Bay Area and sign with the Brooklyn Nets this summer

professionalism of the Warriors’ medical staff and the organization as a
whole.

t surprised about how the medical staff carried themselves with Iggy’s

Kendrick Perkins, who works as an NBA analyst for ESPN, said on First Take it
“didn’t surprise” Durant when Iguodala claimed the Warriors downgraded the
severity of an injury he suffered during the 2018 playoffs.

The past week saw Iguodala make a radio appearance on New York’s “The
Breakfast Club,” telling the hosts the Warriors called his injury a bone
bruise despite the fracture diagnosis.

The Warriors have since traded Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, along with
a future first-round pick, in order to complete a sign-and-trade for one-time
