Patrick Beverley, Montrezl Harrell, Clippers players share their best,
hilarious pickup lines

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George swiped right on the Los Angles Clippers this
past offseason, but it was the rest of their teammates who were giving their
own dating tips. The dating app Bumble, a sponsor of the Clippers that also
appears on the team’s jerseys, partnered with the team to ask players about
their own dating experiences.

Big man Montrezl Harrell was ask to share his go-to pick up line. “Hey girl,
” he said. “Your feet tired? You’ve been running through my mind all day.
” He then shook his head and smiled, seemingly surprised at his own
cheesiness.

When asked for some first date advice Beverly recommended some liquid
courage. “Get there early, and take a shot,” he said.

At 5-2, the Clippers seem plenty confident on their own. Even with Paul
George sidelined with shoulder surgery, the Clippers sit just half a game
back of the first place Lakers, who they defeated opening night 112-102. They
also have the second highest offensive rating, 112.2 and a defensive rating
of 106.1, which is good for 16th in the league.

month, giving them of a cushion allowing them to rest Leonard more often. One
of the team’s two losses came against on Oct. 30 the Utah Jazz, when the
team sat Kawhi for load management. While keeping their stars healthy is
clearly the primary concern, being able to mix and match Leonard and George
will keep the team afloat on nights like last Wednesday when they want to sit
one of their best players.
