You cannot have 2 players acquired via a trade that were signed to that type of extension. Brooklyn already has Ben Simmons. 簡單的說： Bobby Marks是回應WOJ推特寫到太陽跟熱火是KD想去的下家。 但熱火的Bam Adebayo，籃網不能收， 因為規定「一支球隊只能有一個交易來的指定新秀延長合約」。 籃網已經有Ben Simmons是「交易來的指定新秀」，不能吃第二個。 [補充說明] 之前AD還在水鳥時，安吉想得到AD也卡在這一關， KI是交易來的指定新秀，所以不能吃AD。 現在籃網卡一個西門，不能收進別隊的指定新秀了。 同理，太陽也不能出書人，他也是指定新秀。 然後Ayton是自由球員(RFA)， 同時卡「簽換觸發硬上限」，跟「BYC條款」(簽換時吃進薪資減半)， 也不適合用來交易KD。 太陽能用的主菜就是大橋21M，配菜JC 10M，再想辦法湊Cam或湊籤讓籃網點頭。 太陽所有的首輪都在自己手上，最大可以給出「四首輪+三互換」吧。
