As the NBA regular season hurtles toward its conclusion, teams are battling
for playoff seeding, and players are eyeing coveted awards, none more
prestigious than the regular season MVP. With familiar names like Nikola
Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dominating the conversation,
the race has become more intriguing. Former player-turned-analyst Charles
Barkley recently weighed in on the discussion, offering his verdict and
picking his favorites.

Gilgeous-Alexander,” Barkley responded when asked about the prospect of the
Mavericks superstar winning an MVP this season. “I would say, Anthony
Edwards, in my opinion, I would probably give him the slight edge because if
they are able to finish with the best record without Karl-Anthony Towns, I
think that’s pretty incredible.”

“If the Timberwolves are able to finish with the best record in the West,
they've been all probably a month without Karl Anthony Towns if he can keep
them afloat, I probably would give him a slight edge. But if they gave the
Joker I wouldn't have a problem with that. Hey, if Oklahoma City finishes
with the best record, I might give it to Shai, and I don't even want to leave
out Jason Tatum, yeah, but it's gonna be one of those four guys,” Barkley
concluded.
