Carmelo Anthony explains why he values his gold medals over an NBA
championship
“Three gold medals, four medals for me is bigger than the NBA championship
because I understand the impact of it. Not everybody wins a gold medal, not
everybody wins a silver or a bronze. It’s a handful of athletes from our
country that we can say has won medals let alone gold medals. When you have
that perspective that’s a whole another perspective. Yeah of course I want an
NBA championship we all do, yeah but it’s a lot of sh*t that have to go down
accordingly in order for you to win an NBA championship, let alone multiple
championships.”
之前有記者問甜瓜願不願意拿奧運獎牌換一個NBA總冠，而瓜哥的答案是否定。
瓜哥解釋了原因：
「對我來說，三、四面金牌是比NBA總冠軍更為重要的，因為我了解他的影響力。
不是每個人都能贏得金牌、銀牌或是銅牌。我們國家只有少數的運動員能贏得獎牌，更不用說金牌了。
當你有了這樣的觀點時，就會有完全不同的看法。
當然我想贏得NBA總冠軍，但要贏得一次NBA總冠，必須要有各種天時地利人和，更別說贏得數次了。」
