Osho and His Insights
My master Osho, whom I had never seen in person, visited this planet Earth
and shared his insights to his people from 1931 to 1990. Osho, who is a
contemporary mystic, used to challenge traditions in his time to create
conditions for helping the birth of new human beings. Take myself as an
example, his calling me, which drove me to go to India in the end of 1999,
totally changed my life. In his childhood, Osho enjoyed his aloneness and had
been only concerned about knowing what the ultimate truth was, what the
meaning of his life was, and why it was not others but him to appear here.
When he was 21, Osho became enlightened and for the first time he knew he was
not alone and surprisingly knew that he was required to be here. Osho was
never a serious master, for jokes that he talked and dances that he danced
were many in his speeches, discourses and some darshans. In Osho White Robe,
which Osho held for the meeting with his disciples, there were something
unforgettable experiences for its participants. These messages, which Osho
sent were so many that he had been talking for 35 years continuously. He said
that he gained great joys from seeing the shins with understanding in the
eyes of his listeners. Osho’s talks, which some people criticized as a wrong
technique, were found very successful in the years that came afterwards. Osho
said all his words are just fingers pointing to the moon; the fingers are not
the point. Anyway, he has touched millions of hearts of people from all over
the world, who includes me.
