Aaron Boone said. LeMahieu will see specialists in hopes of being activated
for the ALCS.
(6) @BryanHoch: Clay Holmes is available to close tonight. “It’s gone really
well here the last three or four days,” Aaron Boone said.
(7) @BryanHoch: Aaron Boone said that he was here late last night trying to
decide between Oswald Peraza and Marwin Gonzalez. Ultimately he went with
the veteran status and more defensive versatility.
(8) @MaxTGoodman: Scott Effross was shocked when he learned he needed
Tommy John surgery. He thought the soreness he was feeling in his elbow was
normal at the end of a season.
Now he's out for the next 12 to 18 months, feeling disappointed that he can't
help his team.
(9) @ktsharp: Yankees hit 127 more HR than Guardians during the regular season.
That's the 2nd-largest difference in reg season HR between teams
in any postseason matchup in MLB history.
The largest is 149, in the 1982 World Series (Brewers 216, Cardinals 67).
