Distant Worlds(DW)最近推出了新包裝：
Distant Worlds: Universe(DW:U)
包含主程式、三個舊的資料片* ，以及最新資料片Universe。
(*Return of the Shakturi, Legends, Shadows)
此外，也開始在steam 平台上販售，不過只賣一整包，資料片不分售。
製作公司很有誠意地在遊戲發售後兩周內，做了兩次改版。
