Today in Afghanistan, there are nearly 10 million children in desperate need
of humanitarian aid.
In the past weeks, with increased conflict, insecurity, and a severe drought,
it is children, those least responsible for the crisis in Afghanistan, who
have paid the heaviest price.
UNICEF has been in Afghanistan for 65 years and we’re not leaving.
It is for each and every one of these children that UNICEF is staying.
UNICEF cannot abandon the children of Afghanistan in their time of need.
