各位同學大家好：我是創勝文教王梓沅老師，在我的托福班裡，我觀察高分破百的學
生，他們除了一定交作業，不管在上課、下課練習，常常會有的6個共通特質，在此特別
整理給大家，祝福大家也都能考取理想分數！
★托福學霸的六大特質★
1. They identify (找出) and reflect upon (反思) their weaknesses
(不要盲目刷題。在學習裡頭，quantity (練習量) 雖然有一定重要性，但最後要突破時，quality 比
quantity 重要，一定要認真檢討錯誤。）練習10篇Independent Writing，倒不如練習3篇，每次都寫 first draft, second draft, final draft, 觀察其中的變化，記得寫出
好文章的感覺和關鍵點。
2. They take corrective feedback (糾正、反饋) seriously so that they don't
make the same mistake(s) in their future production, or in the future.
(Corrective feedback 可來自兩方面：一方面是像寫TPO錯的題目，這是一種來自考試的
feedback; 另一方面是來自於一起練習的同學、老師等的feedback)
3.They push the envelope (不斷突破自己).
(更細的說，練習如果很舒服，那大概沒什麼效。越辛苦的練習，常常學習效果越好; 例
如，看著 transcript 聽，雖然是練習聽力很重要的一個步驟。但因為這樣的練習相對不
難，挫折感不低，很多同學就一直這樣練，最後還是成效有限。真正難的是練習「預測內
容」、「總結主題」、「回想資訊」這種，願意去做這樣的努力的，最後成效通常比較好
。但這些練習，會讓準備「有點辛苦」)
4.They think critically about what testing strategies work better if not best
for them.
5.They are aware of the significance of the role of repetition in
learning and practicing, and they, from time to time, practice only one thing
at a time, deliberately and intensively.
("重覆" 這件事，扮演著學習很重要的角色。如上頭所述，例如在練口說第4題時，如果
前頭的定義給的不是很好，可以集中練習這方面的技能。我說「技能」？對，因為托福
雖然是語言考試，但也考了很多台灣同學「母語中文」都做不來的技能，像「總結」等等
。
6.They neither give up easily, nor give in to the ETS easily. They have the
stick-to-it-ness required of a successful graduate student.
