[Software Engineer for PLC Programing]
The key responsibility of the Software Engineer is to maintain a high degree
of customer satisfaction by providing support to ensure Evatec equipment
achieves specified performance levels.
<Your main tasks>
* Acting as first contact for customers or for FSE’s that need support-
answering
all kinds of technical questions related to software
* Act as interface between the customer, FSE and Evatec Headquarters with
regards to software support
* Develop small programs ( macro’s or program’s) required to analyse the
data from the tool as well as follow a systematic method for analyzing and
troubleshooting the tool.
* Able to understand the PLC/communication
* Support Tool integration to the customers host. Provide clear examples of
the necessary scripts required to facilitate host communication with the
Evatec platforms.
Demonstrate and guide the customer in this activity so that the Evatec
tool can be successfully integrated into the customer production systems.
* Use diagnostic tools already in built in Windows to systematically detect,
trace and troubleshoot/diagnose/document Evatec Tool failure.
* Develop a clear understand of the tool from a system level. Able to diagnose
hardware related problem using the software infrastructure on the tool or
using conventional methods.
* Develop automated software test routines and support software testing prior
to release.
* Work with Evatec tools such as ECP, BPS, SMT as well as all SW related
systems keeping all systems up to date, plus analysis and visualization of
data, e.g. to show a failure analysis in a Pareto Chart.
* Work at the customer site for specific software related problems and also
software upgrades and installation.
* Manage and track of software related customer complaints including
escalation situation.
<Your profile>
* A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably EE or Software
with 3 to 5 years experience in related software support or customer
engineering support ( with system level understanding).
Fresh graduates with a MSc or higher and a strong background in data
acquisition/analytics, machine interfacing/communication and/or programming
are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with prior experience of Evatec systems would be an advantage.
* Have experience with PLC programming – knowledge of using Siemens Simatic
software as well as the programming environment is an advantage.
* Have prior experience with encoders, drives and motors.
* Able to multi task and work under pressure.
* Patience, good judgment, discretion, tact, and strong customer relationship
skills are required
* Experience in high level programming language and technique’s (C/C++,
SmallTalk, VBA, OOP’s, XML, COM, Windows Shell etc )
* Experience in windows diagnostics to troubleshoot and log information from
windows is a must.
* Familiarization/Experience with Semi Standards for equipment automation is
a plus. ( E4, E5, E30, E84 etc)
* An understanding of equipment automation control and management ( SECS
GEM, GPIP/GPIB, etc) is a plus
* Understanding of windows automation software and scripting is a plus
* Experience in project management is an added advantage.
The role will involve regular travel within Asia for business and to Europe
for training.
[Process Engineer]
The key responsibility of the Application/Process Engineer is to maintain a
high degree of customer satisfaction by providing support to ensure Evatec
equipment achieves specified performance levels. This position requires a
skilled individual who can adapt and maintain composure under very demanding
situations.
<Your main tasks>
* Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on moderately difficult
process engineering experiments, within safety guidelines
* Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems, within
safety guidelines
* Troubleshoot moderately complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis
and resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues
* Measure film properties, organize data/reports for review and interpret data
Generate internal documentation for products, presentations and technical
reports
* Interact with customers to resolve moderately difficult process engineering
issues/problems under general supervision
* Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers under general
supervision
* Implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation Functional
Knowledge
* Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and
broadens capabilities
* Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own
work.
* Hands-on experimental work in collaboration with other scientists, engineers
and technicians for the testing and qualification of processes and hardware
* Contribution to the definition of system concepts and component changes for
the development of new and the optimization of existing hardware
* Single-handed execution of customer samplings and support of customer
specific applications
* Support of the business unit in the transfer of new processes to the
customer provision of expert know-how to Application Engineers, customers and
partners
* Screening of literature and IP
* Work with Evatec tools such as ECP, BPS, SMT as well as all SW related
systems keeping all systems up to date, plus analysis and visualization of
data, e.g. to show a failure analysis in a Pareto Chart.
<Your profile>
* University Degree in a Technical Field ( Master’s Degree in Electrical
Engineering, Physics with emphasis on Solid State Physics or Plasma Physics)
with min 3 years working experience in an equipment manufacturing environment
or a Foundry handling process.
* Sound background in Thin Film Technology using PVD and/or PECVD or
Plasma Physics.
* Strong Analytical background.
* Experience in scientific work with excellent written/communication skills
* Structured and logical way of working and problem solving.
* Able to work independently and have a high level of accountability.
* Experience in thin film Metrology and related analytical equipment used in
the characterization thin film.
* Proficient in MsOffice, Minitab, also in programming with Visual Basic or
Python or any other programming language ( is a plus)
* An in-depth understanding of thin film processes such as reactive & metal
sputtering and ICP etch processes is a plus.
* Good temperament and always works to convince others using data.
* Must be able to travel in a short notice.
Fluent in English, This role will involve regular travel within Asia for
business and to Europe for training/process transfer.
