Hi everyone,
I wanted to share some news with all my fans. Over the next few weeks I won’
t be able to compete on the Tour. The pain I have been suffering on my right
shoulder since the preseason increased during my participation at the
Australian Open.
This injury prevents me from serving properly and I need some rest to heal
it. My team made an enormous effort to help me stay and play in Melbourne
after a very though preseason. Our participation in Australia was a success
for all of us but now we need to hear my body to be ready and sustain the
exigence of our very demanding sport.
I’m going to follow my doctor’s advice and stay out of competition for a
few weeks. I’m raring to compete again, and will be combining physical
training in Barcelona with some physiotherapy and rehab sessions.
I want to be back on Tour soon, enjoy my participation in the tournaments and
live special moments with all of you. Your support means the world for me and
I feel it whenever I play around the world.
