最近拿到紅單，領域是ECE PHD
要補交的文件裡面需要填Contact info in the U.S.
說明如下:
List the street/email addresses, names and phone numbers of your U.S.
points of contact at, friends/family residence, organizations, institutes,
and/or companies that you intend to visit in the U.S. (For academic
institutions or conferences, provide the name of an academic contact, not the
name of the foreign student advisor)
我自己對於上面這段話的理解是: 填任何在美國認識的人即可(同學, 系辦小姐..)
但它在括號內的內容寫not the name of the foreign student advisor
這到底是指
(1) 不可以是這個學生原本在境外的advisor(ex. 我在台灣的指導教授)
(2) 不可以是這個境外學生的advisor (ex. 幫助外籍學生的顧問? 系辦小姐?)
目前的想法應該覺得指的是(1)
所以想要跟系辦小姐要聯絡資料填上去
但有點不確定所以想上來問一下各位的意見

看原文很明顯是指（2）...foreign student advisor是學校的一個職位，通常主管全校國際生事務，非指你的指導教授整段主旨是us point of contact，抓住這個邏輯就不會覺得是台灣指導教授了

指的是（1）吧？覺得是（2）不會怪怪的，為什麼要排擠這個職位，其他職位或是家人朋友就可以？

如果看完原文還會認為foreign student advisor 應該翻譯成「境外的學生顧問」=「指導教授」，那我也沒輒了
