Most people - if they were given the option by some magical genie - would not
opt to erase their whole history and start over again. That's because even
though we sometimes wish for that, most of us know that there were many good
things that came along with the not-so-great experiences, and we would not
want to miss out on any of it. They would also recognize that even the more
challenging or difficult experiences led to something good. You may be
cursing some mistake from the past, but you think about how your life would
be different if it had not happened. You may come to a revelation and see
that even that mistake was a gift.
