日本暢銷作家吉本芭娜娜近日將在台推出新書。
Japanese best-selling author Banana Yoshimoto’s new book will come out in
Taiwan soon.
即寫作長達十年的長篇系列小說「王國」將出版最終章，四冊總頁數近七百頁，是她最長
篇的小說。
The final volume of her novel ‘The Kingdom’, which has taken her ten years
to complete, is her longest work, and the total length of the four volumes is
up to almost seven hundred pages.
吉本芭娜娜的作品多以短篇及中長篇的形式呈現，「王國」是她挑戰最長的小說。
Most of Yoshimoto’s works are short stories or novelettes; ‘The Kingdom’
is the longest work she has ever tried to complete.
九月將在台出版最終回中文譯本「王國4：另一個世界」。
The Mandarin version of this last volume ‘The Kingdom vol.4: Another World’
will be published in Taiwan in September.
「王國」系列透露人文關懷，更融入吉本芭娜娜訪台期間的經驗，包含珍珠奶茶、陽明山
溫泉與傳統玉飾等，展現吉本芭娜娜對台灣的喜好，也增添不少旅行的悠閒感。
The series of ‘The Kingdom’ discloses humanity and integrates Yoshimoto’s
experiences from visiting Taiwan, including pearl milk tea, hot spring in
Yangmingshan and traditional jade, which has shown Yoshimoto’s fondness of
Taiwan and the carefree feeling of travelling.

蘭蒂：當然記得啊，那可是當年很轟動的代表作呢！
Landy：Of course I do. That was a hit back then!
菲爾：希望「王國」可以跟「廚房」一樣棒。
