The first of these upcoming spinoffs, Dead City, was announced in March under th
e title Isle of the Dead. The series' name was changed to Dead City in August, a
nd filming wrapped in October. The Walking Dead: Dead City will consist of six e
pisodes and is set to premiere in April 2023.

Though the actual plot has yet to be revealed, it's been confirmed that Dead Cit
y will take place a few years after The Walking Dead ends, and that it will foll
