Internship description
The project scope is to optimize TEC's division's financial and operational
reporting. In order to facilitate the business reporting, understand business
results and help in the decision making process TEC Taiwan decided to implement
a hands on IT solution that will regroup the reporting tools into one platform.
The target is to have a more visual reporting, which tracks single initiatives
and teams rather then just numbers. Multiple sources of data need to be brought
together in order to align financial and operational reporting together.
The intern will have to conduct several interviews with key players in the
organization to understand business requirements and design the optimal tool
Responsibilities
1.Define the business requirements in terms of KPI and reports by conducting
interviews with the Country Manager, the Country Finance Manager, the Business
Development team and other key players in the organization.
2.Build a test model to fine-tune the requirements and determine final outputs
3.Compare different IT solutions available in the market and deliver the final
solution.
Qualifications
1. Good knowledge of database architecture, experience with Access,
Crystal Reports, QlikView is a plus
2. Great interaction and communication with people
3. Understanding of finance and accounting principles
4. Good skills in English communication.
5. Fast-contributor, enthusiastic and independent the intern will need to adapt
quickly to a new environment and understand rapidly the requirements of
top-management.
The project will take place from September to December 2009, targeted launch of
the system is for December 2009.
