訪問前段導演表示自己老星戰迷
問到路克的劇情時他說
That was the first thing I had to figure out. Why is Luke on that island? And
I didn’t have any answers. But it’s not like you can just pick anything you
want out of the air. I grew up having a sense of who Luke Skywalker is. It gui
des you to a very specific path. I know he’s not hiding on the island. I know
he’s not a coward. He must be there for a reason that he believes in. You’r
e finding a path forward, but there end up being fewer choices than you think.
這是我第一件需要做的事。為甚麼路克會在那個島上？我並沒有答案。但我也不能憑空捏
造，因為我從小就知道路克是誰，是個怎樣的人。這引導著我往某個方向前進。我知道他
並不是在島上躲藏。我知道他不是懦夫。他一定是相信著某個理由才會到那裡。就這樣，
你會一直前進並發現選擇範圍越來越小。
