Situation Update

3. MOH has been working with the hospitals to set aside more ICU beds for
COVID-19 patients, as and when we need them. In view of the current ICU
occupancy rates, we have triggered the next 100 ICU beds, which will be ready
next week. While we are able to stand up ICU beds at short notice, the
increased load of patients adds strain and pressure on the healthcare system
and our healthcare workers. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated if they
have not done so, so as to protect themselves and help ease the patient load
on the healthcare system. For those who are not vaccinated, we urge them to
minimise unnecessary movement and social interactions.
4.(總計339名)新增10名因為COVID-19感染而死亡。
介於66~98歲。

8.Over the past 7 days, the number of fully vaccinated and non-fully vaccinated
cases who are critically ill in the ICU are at 0.5 and 4.3 per 100,000
population respectively. Over the same period, the number of fully vaccinated
and non-fully vaccinated cases who died are 0.1 and 0.8 per 100,000
population respectively. Among seniors aged 60 and above, the number of
fully vaccinated and non-fully vaccinated cases who are critically ill in the
ICU are 2.2 and 31.7 respectively. The number of fully vaccinated and
non-fully vaccinated seniors who died are 0.4 and 8.1 respectively.
