I would like to formally express my interest to teach English in Taiwan.
I was born in Taiwan but raised in Los Angeles. I graduated from University
of California Santa Barbara. I have previously studied at The University of
Hong Kong (香港大學) and Fudan University (復旦大學) During my study in
Hong Kong and Shanghai, I worked with local students to help enhance
their English language skills. Throughout my two semesters at the respective
schools, I tutored over 30 students in both group and individual settings.
Professionally I have over 3 years of experience working as a Strategy
Analyst at a media and entertainment company as well as a Business Consultant
at a management consulting firm in Los Angeles.
I have been actively preparing myself to meet my expectations by attending
local MeetUps to build my professional network in the technology sector.
To fully utilize my free time, I have also been actively looking for English
teaching opportunities on professional job portals. In addition, I have
reached out to local universities to learn about classes that may benefit
my professional skills as a computer programmer.
