今天收到學校來信, 大意是說, 為了配合政府規定
要把I-20名字裡面的"-"拿掉, 叫我去領新的I-20
不知道有沒有其他人也收到一樣信件的, 要記得去換~
以下為全文:
As Designated School Officials (“DSOs”), it is our responsibility to keep
you up-to-date on any U.S. government changes. There has been a change that
we would like to make you aware of. The Student and Exchange Visitor Program
(“SEVP”) is imposing new name standards, whereas the biographical
information on your I-20 must match the name in your passport, based on what
is listed in the machine-readable zone of the passport (seen at the very
bottom of the biographical page in the passport). Special characters,
hyphens, apostrophes, and commas are not included in the machine readable
zone of the passport and therefore, your I-20 now will not contain any of
these characters.
This email is to inform you that we have made an adjustment to the
biographical information on your I-20, in order to comply with the new
Student and Exchange Visitor Program (“SEVP”) name standards. SEVP has put
these standards in place in order to ensure consistency with the standards
governing machine-readable travel documents.

machine readable zone on your passport, please click on this link to the
