剛剛有位Georgia Tech Lorraine教授來信,內容如下:
Dear student.
I’m writing you because you applied recently for admission at Georgia Tech
(GT) for the Ph.D. program. I don’t know yet the decision made by the
admission committee on your application, but I know that you are among the
best candidates. Please note that owing to the exceptional number of candidates
applying and the limited funding possibilities, we cannot accept everyone.
The present funding offer will most likely assure your admission to GT.
The reason for this e-mail is to inform you that a position for a Ph.D. in my
research group has been open. The research to be conducted will be in the field
of alloy design and severe plastic deformation. In particular, one of the
objectives is to develop new high temperature materials based on the concept
of high entropy alloys (HEA). The research will be conducted in the European
campus of Georgia Tech in Metz France and will be a collaboration between
Georgia Tech, the University of Lorraine and the RWTH-Aachen University.
You may find interesting that, within this project, there is the possibility
to obtain a dual-degree from both GT and the University of Lorraine.
You can look at my profile:

to have an impression of the research I conduct.
If you are interested, please write me back so that we can chat about
the details.
