Passengers evacuated after fire on United Express plane in Denver

DENVER — Passengers had to be evacuated from a United Express plane that caug
ht fire at Denver International Airport Sunday afternoon.
Flightꀵ869烀as arriving from Aspen and had 59 passengers and 4 crew members o
n board, according to airport officials. The flight was operated by SkyWest.
The plane had engine trouble after landing, officials said. The fire started i
n the left engine of the plane when it turned onto the taxiway.
The NTSB will be investigating the incident.
Passengers posted photos of the scary scene on Twitter.
All passengers were evacuated safely with no injuries, airport officials said.
Passengers said the response from Denver Fire was “immediate.”
Fire officials said they used foam to quickly extinguish the flames.

lane.
Everyone is safe though shook. All our stuff is on the plane. Waiting for diap
er bag, stroller, ID, all my personal items,” Rabia Chaudry said on Twitter.
All runways are now open as investigation into SkyWest fire continues. Other a
