長榮航空將於布里斯本/阿姆斯特丹AMS/維也納逐步導入787
簡短介紹
1. AMS/VIE 將於2019 改用787-9, 主要是這兩條比較屬於低利潤航線
TPE-BKK-AMS= 3 weekly
TPE-BKK-VIE= 4 weekly
TPE-VIE = 3 weekly

EVA Air begins Dreamliner operations, plans to downgauge Amsterdam and Vienna
from 777-300ERs to 787-9s
October 31, 2018
Taiwan’s EVA Air is planning to down-gauge services to Amsterdam and Vienna
from three class Boeing 777-300ERs to two class 787-9s in 2019. Amsterdam and
Vienna will become the only EVA Air destinations outside Asia Pacific without
premium economy but the 787-9 should improve profitability on the thin
long-haul routes as it is significantly more efficient than the 777-300ER.
Summary:
EVA Air took delivery of its first 787-9 at the start of Oct-2018 and plans
to place it into service this week on the Taipei-Hong Kong route;
The airline plans to initially fly its 787-9s on regional routes within North
Asia but will deploy the new type on long haul routes to Amsterdam and Vienna
in 2019;
The transition from 777-300ERs to 787-9s in these European markets will
result in a capacity reduction and a withdrawal of a premium economy option.

EVA Air plans capacity increase and product improvement for Brisbane market
November 2, 2018
EVA Air is planning to increase capacity and improve its product in the
Australia market as it transitions Taipei-Brisbane, its only Australia route,
from Airbus A330s to its recently added Boeing 787s. The Taiwanese carrier
took delivery of its first 787, a 787-9, in Oct-2018. It has three more
787-9s on order along with 20 larger 787-10s, all of which will be delivered
by 2022.
Summary:
EVA Air plans to transition the Taipei-Brisbane route from A330s to 787s,
resulting in capacity increases and product improvements;
The airline has lie flat business class seats with all aisle access on its
new 787 Dreamliner fleet;
The older A330-200s that are currently used to Brisbane have angled flat
seats in an undesirable six abreast configuration;
Brisbane is EVA’s only destination in Australia and the airline has no plans
to add other Australia cities due to the aggressive expansion from China
Airlines.
