路加福音19:11-28
眾人聽這話的時候，耶穌因為已臨近耶路撒冷，而且他們
都以為天主的國快要出現，遂設了一個比喻，說：
「有一個貴人起身到遠方去，為取得了王位再回來。他將自己的十個僕
人叫來，交給他們十個『米納』，並囑咐說：
你們拿去做生意，直到我回來。
他本國的人，一向懷恨他，遂在他後面派代表去說：
我們不願意這人為王統治我們。
他得了王位歸來以後，便傳令將那些領了他錢的僕人給他召來，想知
道每個人做生意賺了多少。
第一個前來說：主，你的那個『米納』賺了十個『米納』。
主人給他說：好，善僕！你既然在小事上忠信，你要有權掌管十座城。
第二個前來說：主，你的那個『米納』賺了五個『米納』。
主人也給這人說：你也要掌管五座城。
另一個前來說：
主，看，你那個『米納』，我收存在手巾裡。我一向害怕你，因為你們
是一個嚴厲的人：你沒有存放的，也要提取；沒有下種的，也要收割。
主人向他說：
惡僕！我就憑你的口供定你的罪。你不是知道我是個嚴厲的人，沒有存
放的，也要提取；沒有下種的，也要收割的嗎？為什麼你不把我的錢存
於錢莊？待我回來時，我可以連本帶利取出來。
主人便向侍立左右的人說：你們把他那個『米納』奪過來，給那有十個
的。
他們向他說：主，他已有十個『米納』了。
我告訴你們：凡是有的，還要給他；那沒有的，連他所有的，也要從他
奪去。至於那些敵對我，不願意我作他們君王的人，你們把他們押到這
裡，在我面前殺掉。」
耶穌說了這些話，就領頭前行，上耶路撒冷去了。
11 While the people were listening to this he went on to tell a parable,
（寓言）because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that the
kingdom of God was going to show itself then and there.
12 Accordingly he said, 'A man of noble birth went to a distant
country to be appointed king and then return.
13 He summoned（召集） ten of his servants and gave them ten pounds,
telling them, "Trade with these, until I get back."
14 But his compatriots（同胞、同國人） detested（厭惡） him
and sent a delegation（代表團） to follow him with this message,
"We do not want this man to be our king."
15 'Now it happened that on his return, having received his
appointment（約定、任命） as king, he sent for those servants
to whom he had given the money, to find out what profit each
had made by trading.
16 The first came in, "Sir," he said, "your one pound has brought in ten."
17 He replied, "Well done, my good servant! Since you have proved
yourself trustworthy（a.可信賴的） in a very small thing, you shall
have the government of ten cities."
18 Then came the second, "Sir," he said, "your one pound has made five."
19 To this one also he said, "And you shall be in charge of five cities."
20 Next came the other, "Sir," he said, "here is your pound.
I put it away safely wrapped up in a cloth
21 because I was afraid of you; for you are an exacting（苛求的） man:
you gather in what you have not laid out and reap what you
have not sown."

22 He said to him, "You wicked（惡劣缺德的） servant!
Out of your own mouth I condemn（判刑） you.
So you knew that I was an exacting man, gathering
in what I have not laid out and reaping what I have not sown?
23 Then why did you not put my money in the bank? On my return
I could have drawn it out with interest."

24 And he said to those standing by, "Take the pound from
him and give it to the man who has ten pounds."
25 And they said to him, "But, sir, he has ten pounds . . ."
26 "I tell you, to everyone who has will be given more;
but anyone who has not will be deprived（剝奪） even of what he has.
（have will直接翻是「有意願」，這邊跟中文版有點不大一樣
比較像是「願意幹的就多給他，不想幹的就把他擁有的奪走！」
怎有種討厭的老闆的感覺…）
27 "As for my enemies who did not want me for their king,
bring them here and execute them in my presence." '

28 When he had said this he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
