【那時候】耶穌的母親和兄弟到他這裡來了，因為人多，不能與他相會。
有人告訴他說：
「你的母親和你的兄弟站在外邊，願意見你。」
他卻回答他們說：
「聽了天主的話而實行的，纔是我的母親和我的兄弟。」
Gospel LK 8:19-21
The mother of Jesus and his brothers came to him
but were unable to join him because of the crowd.
He was told,
"Your mother and your brothers are standing outside
and they wish to see you."
He said to them in reply,
"My mother and my brothers
are those who hear the word of God and act on it."

　（そのとき、）イエスの母と兄弟たちが来たが、
群衆のために近づくことができなかった。
そこでイエスに、
「母上と御兄弟たちが、お会いしたいと外に立っておられます」
との知らせがあった。
するとイエスは、
「わたしの母、わたしの兄弟とは、
神の言葉を聞いて行う人たちのことである」とお答えになった。
