　　在特里離開切爾西後，孔蒂還沒有宣佈切爾西的新任隊長，而在昨天和阿森納的
比賽後，孔蒂正式宣佈了切爾西的新任領袖 — 英格蘭國腳後衛卡希爾。
　　卡希爾在和阿森納的比賽中也是擔任了場上隊長，之前有媒體報導大衛˙路易茲
和阿斯皮利奎塔都是新隊長的有力人選。孔蒂確認卡希爾將成為正式的隊長。
“我認為讓卡希爾繼續（當隊長）是正確的，如果他在場上，他就是隊長。為什
麼？因為他在切爾西效力了很多年，踢了很多比賽，並且表現出了優秀的品格。”
　　同時，孔蒂也認為隊中還有其他有擔任隊長潛質的隊員。
“我認為我們還有可以有其他隊長，可能是阿斯皮利奎塔、路易茲，以後也可能
是庫爾圖瓦和法布雷加斯。我認為每個球員都應該提升自己，理解身上的責任，我們
失去了重要的球員，我們需要球員來維持切爾西。但是我認為現在最正確的是把袖標
給卡希爾，他有能力成為一個好隊長。”

Conte says it could be a possibility and speaking about his relationship
with the former England skipper, he said: "John is a big loss.
"Last season he didn't play a lot but his role was very important on and
off the pitch. He told me that he wanted to play regularly. There was a
possibility to stay with us because I was very happy to have another
season with John.
"But I respected his choice. He loves football, to enjoy training
sessions, to push. I told him 'when you have this desire in your heart and
your head, continue to play. When you decide to stop to play, you finish'.
In his heart and his head he wanted to continue to play, but to play
regularly, not once (in a while)...or to stay in the squad.
"For this reason I have great respect for him. I think he decided to go to
Aston Villa to avoid playing Chelsea and we have to hope that we don't
meet in the FA Cup or League Cup!
"I wish for him and his family the best. I appreciated him a lot as a
player but overall as a man. I think he could have the right
characteristics to become a great manager. He worked with great managers
in his career and I think he learned a lot about football. He could be a
great manager in the future."
