Saturday Night Live's Bill Hader and Wife Maggie Carey Are Divorcing

Bill Hader and his wife Maggie Carey, a filmmaker, have been separated since
July and are in the process of getting a divorce, sources tell PEOPLE.

Hader’s rep confirms the split.

Hader — best known for his work on Saturday Night Live from 2005-13 — and
Carey married in 2006 and have three children together: daughters Hannah, 8,
Harper, 5, and Hayley, 3.

In 2013, the comedian shared his best parenting advice with PEOPLE.
“Whatever your wife asks, say yes,” he joked. “Just say yes and your life
will be so much easier. If your wife asks you to drive to LAX at 2 a.m. to
pick up a piece of luggage, do it!”

Hader, 39, created and stars in IFC’s mockumentary series Documentary Now!,
and Carey recently direced two episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, starring SNL
alum Andy Samberg.
