各位版上前輩好，最近在某文法書上看到五大句構裡 (S+V+O+O.C) 的題目上寫著
Q: The students in the dormitories were forbidden , unless they had special
passes, from staying out after 11:30 p.m
這題是改錯，答案說此句"必須"改成 to stay out (forbid的受詞補語必須是 to V)
但我查過longman字典上面確實有例句是
Women are forbidden from going out without a veil 且字典上片語也寫
forbid sb to V / forbid sb from ving。 所以我可否說這裡的
from staying out after 11:30 是受詞補語? 各位版大認同文法書上對這題的解釋嗎
我與我的老外朋友討論後 他也認為from 這裡是可行的 然後開玩笑的跟我說
"You are getting into problem of Taiwanese grammar textbooks..XD"
