感覺後面的the machines可以換成those

就我所學的確不可以在than的後面直接接年代,這樣會變成是機器在跟年代比較,又1970s加'是想表示所有格的概念?在文法上應也是錯誤的,並非甚麼名詞都可以加's變所有格

worse than of the 1970s應該是 worse than that of the 1970s

worse than "those" of the 1970s
