acceptable to native speakers?

I'd mark that as wrong. The writer seems to have misunderstood the difference
between the present perfect simple and continuous and seems to be confusing
two different ideas:
When I got home, my daughter had done her homework.
When I got home, my daughter had been doing her homework since 3 pm.
