英國王室白金漢宮今天宣布，下月滿96歲的王夫菲利浦親王將於秋季卸下王室公務。白金
漢宮聲明稿全文中譯如下：
「愛丁堡公爵殿下業已決定，從今年秋天起不再執行公務。女王全力支持這個決定。
菲利浦親王將出席從現在到8月的既定行程，無論是個人或偕同女王。但在此之後，公爵
不再接受新的訪問或活動邀請。然而他可能偶爾會選擇參加特定的公眾活動。
愛丁堡公爵將繼續保持逾780個組織的贊助人、主席或會員頭銜，但是不再出席活動扮演
積極的角色。
女王陛下則在王室成員支持下，將持續執行完整的官方活動行程。」
聲明稿英文：
"His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh has decided that he will no longer
carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year. In taking this
decision, The Duke has the full support of The Queen.
Prince Philip will attend previously scheduled engagements between now and
August, both individually and accompanying The Queen. Thereafter, The Duke
will not be accepting new invitations for visits and engagements, although he
may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time.
The Duke of Edinburgh is Patron, President or a member of over 780
organisations, with which he will continue to be associated, although he will
no longer play an active role by attending engagements.
Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official
engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family."
