Yu Darvish contract year-by-year breakdown
Here's how much the Rangers will pay Yu Darvish each season as part of the
six-year, $60 million contract they agreed to Wednesday.
Keep in mind that $56 million is guaranteed, and the rest can be earned
through roster bonuses. He can opt out after five years if he reaches some
high performance thresholds.
Also take note of the 2012 salary. The entire deal is Rangers-friendly if
Darvish performs at an elite level.
2012: $5.5 million
2013: $9.5 million
2014: $10 million
2015: $10 million
2016: $10 million
2017: $11 million
