Roy Halladay leaves spring start after just one inning
Between the spring velocity concerns and last year’s shoulder issues, there
are already plenty of reasons to worry about how Roy Halladay will fare in
2013.
This, hopefully, turns out to be nothing at all.
Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports that Halladay lasted only one
inning in his Grapefruit League start Sunday afternoon against the Orioles
because of a stomach virus. He allowed a hit, a walk and struck out one in
the first frame and was then relieved by Zach Miner at the start of the
second.
Halladay entered Sunday’s outing with a 7.36 ERA in 11 spring innings. He
says his arm feels fine.
