Former Major Leaguer Hamilton reportedly murdered

Former Major Leaguer Darryl Hamilton was killed Sunday, police in Pearland,
Texas, have confirmed, in what was an apparent murder-suicide.
A report by the ABC television affiliate in Houston said that police
confirmed finding the bodies of Hamilton and Monica Jordan near the entrance
of a home.
Police said it appeared that Hamilton, 50, was shot several times and Jordan
had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
An outfielder, Hamilton played in parts of 13 Major League seasons for the
Brewers, Rangers, Giants, Rockies and Mets. He hit .291 with 51 home runs,
454 RBIs and 163 stolen bases in 1,328 games. He was drafted by Milwaukee in
1986 and spent parts of seven seasons with the Brewers.
Hamilton, a studio analyst for MLB Network, previously worked in MLB's
on-field operations department. He was an employee of Major League Baseball
Advanced Media from 2003-06, hosting a daily show on MLB.com.
