A's add to bullpen by agreeing with John Axford on two-year, $10M deal
The Oakland Athletics and reliever John Axford have agreed to a two-year
contract worth $10 million, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden and multiple
reports.
Axford is the fourth relief pitcher acquired this offseason by Oakland, which
also signed Ryan Madson and made trades to add Marc Rzepczynski and Liam
Hendriks.
Axford, 32, appeared in 60 games with the Colorado Rockies last season, going
4-5 with a 4.20 ERA and 25 saves.
