John Gibbons' second stint as manager of the Blue Jays has come to an end.
John Gibbons第二次在藍鳥隊擔任總教練的時代，將在近期畫下休止符。
The team on Wednesday announced it will part ways with Gibbons at the
conclusion of the 2018 season.
因為藍鳥球團已經在周三正式宣布，他們將在球季結束後與Gibbons結束合作關係。
"Ultimately what we’ve decided is that John (Gibbons) will not be returning
as our manager," Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said.
藍鳥隊總管Ross Atkins在記者會上證實了這則消息「我們已經決定John (Gibbons)
明年不會回來帶領球隊了。」
Gibbons had a sense of humor about the move as he joked: "We kept that secret
pretty good, didn’t we?"
Gibbons在記者會上倒是展現出了幽默感︰「我們應該有把這個事情保密的很好吧，
對吧？」
It had been reported earlier this month that Gibbons and Atkins spoke
multiple times about plans for the future, and Gibbons' departure was "99.9
percent done."
事實上，早在月初，Gibbons與Atkins兩人就對球隊的未來協商過很多次，這也早就
讓Gibbons離職，變成「99.9%會發生的事」。
The report noted the front office could be interested in following the MLB
trend toward younger managers when it comes to determining a replacement.
最近的報導更指出球團在尋找新教練的工作上，更傾向跟尋MLB的趨勢，那就是讓
比較年輕的人來帶兵。
Gibbons, 56, has managed the Blue Jays since 2013, leading the team to the
American League Championship Series in 2015 and 2016. But Toronto (71-87
entering play Wednesday) will finish with a second consecutive losing season
and the front office apparently is ready for a change.
現年56歲的Gibbons，在2013年重新加入藍鳥隊，並且將球隊連續兩年(2015-16)帶入
美聯冠軍賽。然而近年，藍鳥隊確定連續兩年以不到五成的勝率收尾，卻確立了高層
準備改變的決心。
Gibbons previously managed the Blue Jays from 2004-08, beginning as interim
manager after Carlos Tosca was fired.
文章前面有提到這並不是Gibbons第一次執掌藍鳥隊的兵符，其實他從2004年就先以
代理總教練的身分，取代被開除的Carlos Tosca，並帶兵到2008年了。
He has an overall record of 791-782 (.501).
把他在這兩段時期的戰績合算起來，他在這超過一千場球賽帶兵的勝率仍有超過五
成。
