Free agent forward Joe Alexander has signed a training camp contract with the
Denver Nuggets, a league source told RealGM.

Alexander, who finalized his deal on Tuesday, was the No. 8 overall pick in
the 2008 NBA Draft to the Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 4.7 points and 1.9
rebounds as a rookie, and the 6-foot-8 product was a candidate for the slam
dunk contest at the 2009 All-Star weekend.
在美國時間週二簽下新約的Alexander，曾經在2008選秀會上以第八順位被公鹿隊選上，
儘管他擁有超過200公分的身高，也曾經在新秀年考慮報名明星賽週末的「灌籃大賽」，
然而他不但在幾天後退出競賽，他新人賽季的場均得分也只有4.7分。
Alexander never found a niche in the league out of West Virginia University,
playing professionally in the D-League and Russia after being released by the
Chicago Bulls in 2010.
Alexander雖然出身於學術與體育都有一定水準的西維吉尼亞大學，但他在NBA期間從來
沒有找到能在聯盟生存的利基點，這個缺陷也使得他在2010年被公牛釋出後，只能陸續
在NBA底下的發展聯盟(D-League)與歐洲聯賽(俄羅斯)打零工。
Alexander went to training camp with the Golden State Warriors last season.
這並不是Alexander第一次試圖藉由季前營重返NBA，他去年就曾經參加勇士隊的季前營。
