Dwight Howard 今夏與湖人簽了一紙2.68M/yr的非保障約，當初被認為是湖人為了防止氣氛
而給的條件。
而根據ESPN記者 Ramona Shelburne 表示，非保障約是Howard自己要求的
“I think with Dwight, it also goes back to why the Lakers signed that contract
with him that way in the first place. Dwight asked for that. That was his idea.
That wasn’t the Lakers saying ‘oh this is the only way we’ll do it.’ This
was Dwight and his agent saying ‘yes, we’ll do non-guaranteed just to show you
how committed we are to being this kind of player.’”
這並非湖人當初表示「喔，我們只能這樣開。」而是Howard與他的經紀人說「我們就拿非保
障約，來證明“我是來真的！”」
而到了一月，Howard的合約將自動轉換為保障合約。
心得：難怪這麼聖光卻一直沒有湖人要把約換成保障約的消息，原來是豁華自己要求的
