過往的面試經驗從沒有遇過assignment/paperwork
頂多要我分享會如何操作行銷活動通常都是當面發表
昨天去一家日本網路公司應徵community manager
台灣編制目前只有兩人,直接跟country manager面試
面試約莫一小時的時間都是主管在問我問題
最後換我問問題的時候,我問了:在台灣市場的競爭者是誰? 要怎麼跟競爭者做出區隔?
有沒有近兩年明確的行銷策略與規劃?
主管都把問題拋回給我:你覺得呢?
變成我在自問自答,所以我乾脆也不問了
接著主管表示接下來會有assignment要請我回去做,我當場聽了有點尷尬
但因為她也不打算當面說明內容,只說晚點會寄email給我,我也就說好
隔沒多久就收到信(以下用XXXXXXX代替公司名稱):
As mentioned in the meeting, here are the trial project details.
Purpose: (i) for you to understand more about XXXXXXX; (ii) for both of us to
understand each other's working styles
Content: (i) Build your own cooking community on XXXXXXX, (ii) analysis,
(iii) proposal (optional)
Period: 6st Dec - 17th Dec 2018
Expected results:
11th Dec: 5 new users posting recipes or Cooksnaps on XXXXXXX
17th Dec: 5 retained users + 5 new users posting recipes or Cooksnaps on
XXXXXXX
Bonus: 1 male user posting each week
User analysis at end of each week
[Optional] Proposal on 17th Dec
Tracker: attached is a simple spreadsheet to track your community
User analysis:
11th Dec: Pick and analyse one user who was acquired successfully. What is
his/her motivation sharing cooking experience on XXXXXXX? Any user feedback?
17th Dec: Pick and analyse one user who was retained successfully. What makes
him/her happy on XXXXXXX? More user feedback?
[Optional] Proposal: free topic. Below are ideas:
Design 4-quarter strategy to accelerate the growth of XXXXXXX mobile app users
Design community retention strategy

assignment的時間是今天馬上開始為期十天(這時間可能是因為她知道我待業中)
希望我在五天內可以找到五個新用戶,後五天這五個用戶要持續使用再找五個新用戶
訪問用戶為什麼使用XXXXXXX,使用的感想回饋,還有一份提案
十天內會有兩次電話會議,中途跟她報告進度
我昨晚看到這封信就覺得有點太誇張,我第一次接到這種要求
要求candidate幫公司找十個新用戶這有合理嗎
這麼多的要求(我說"多"是因為我只是第一次面試),而且也不是說做完這個就結束
昨天的第一次面試中,公司的規定、福利、薪資範圍全都沒提
而且主管說等我做完assignment之後,她覺得可以的話會pass給亞洲區總部(日本)
後面還有兩關跟日本主管面試
昨晚問了很多朋友意見,有朋友說不要做,去tech_job黑特
也有朋友叫我開十個分身敷衍她XD,但還要PO十份食譜也太麻煩
有一位朋友說可以試試看
我想了一夜還是覺得這要求也太過分,早上起床就回信拒絕了
不知道是我太叛逆嗎? 一般大家對於面試過程的assignment都是什麼樣的態度?
我是對於這種在面試時吃豆腐的企業不太有好感......
