Petra Kvitova out for three months after hand surgery following knife attack
捷克女將 Petra Kvitova 星期二在家中遭到歹徒持刀攻擊
受傷的左手隨後也立即接受手術治療，而且手術最終順利完成了
醫生花了將近四個小時的時間，
來修復 Kvitova 左手的肌腱以及神經，而且左手正好也是她的慣用手
儘管這次傷得有些嚴重，不過醫生認為 Kvitova 還是這麼年輕和健康
絕對能夠繼續進行網球的高強度競賽
Kvitova 將會打上石膏，持續六到八個星期
除此之外，她的左手至少有三個月的時間不能負重
這也確定讓 Petra Kvitova 無法參加2017年的澳洲網球公開賽
不久前她已經因為腳傷而宣布退出一月份開打的霍普曼盃

"Thank you for all your heart-warming messages.
"As you may have already heard, today I was attacked in my apartment by an
individual with a knife. In my attempt to defend myself, I was badly injured
on my left hand.
"I am shaken, but fortunate to be alive. The injury is severe and I will need
to see specialists, but if you know anything about me I am strong and I will
fight this. Thank you all again for your love and support and now I would
appreciate some privacy while I focus on my recovery."
