After Malaysia Airlines picked up a used Airbus A350-900 that SAS has
returned, yet another Asian airline has pounced on used long-haul aircraft
from SAS.
This time it is China Airlines that has entered into an agreement with the
owners of former SE-RSA and SE-RSC, two Airbus A350-900s that have also been
phased out of SAS's fleet.
The two aircraft are three and four years old, and did not have a long career
on Scandinavian wings. According to the website One Mile at a time, China
Airlines will thus increase its fleet of A350 aircraft to 16 aircraft in
total when these two aircraft are delivered.
The first of the two former SAS aircraft will be in place with China Airlines
in March 2024, and with the configuration the aircraft has from SAS will
initially be used on routes from Taipei to Rome and Singapore, reports
AeroRoutes.
