教會─天主與人同在的場所
福音：瑪二八16-20
十一個門徒就往加里肋亞，到耶穌給他們所指定的山上去了。
他們一看見他，就朝拜了他，雖然有人還心中疑惑。
耶穌便上前對他們說：
「天上地下的一切權柄都交給了我，
所以你們要去使萬民成為門徒，
因父及子及聖神之名給他們授洗，
教訓他們遵守我所吩咐你們的一切。
看！我同你們天天在一起，直到今世的終結。」
反省
耶穌必須升天的理由，可以有這兩個解釋：
首先，世人必有一死，這世界必會消逝，
耶穌復活的生命形態，就藉著升天來表示祂已超越世界的一切限制。
另一方面，耶穌已完成了天父的使命，
天父要祂享受光榮，接受掌管天下的一切權柄，因此凌駕於世界。
雖然耶穌離我們而去，但承諾與我們同在，
祂的生命和權柄，也由門徒承繼，
為使世人完全認識救恩，將來也得享復活的生命。
這是祂愛我們的表達。願我們藉着祈禱，常常回到內心，感應祂親密的陪伴。

The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
