Chelsea are confident they can reach an agreement with Barcelona over a
deal for Frenkie de Jong. However, the major obstacle remains: persuading
FdJ to move to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United seemingly moving on doesn't really make too much
difference to Chelsea. There has been no indication *yet* that FdJ wants
to leave Barcelona.
Joan Laporta recently said he wants FdJ to stay at Barcelona, but the La
Liga club seem more than open to selling the midfielder for the right
price.

It's understood Aubameyang's future may not be linked to Depay's,

Chelsea's interest in Frenkie De Jong has really ramped up in the last
week. At the moment, he prefers to stay at Barcelona. Chelsea will not
make a bid until they receive encouragement that De Jong is open to a move
