我在理解上主要卡住的兩個點是
1. 文中their conceptual ouput 的 "their"，是指什麼?
是synaptically perturbed neural nets?
還是更前面出現的such attention?
2.文章中,that cadence in turn characterized by 的 "that"，是指什麼?
是their conceptual output?
還是 the novelty? a quantitative indicator?
還是只是作為 reveal 後面接的另一個子句?
3."a frequency and a corresponding temporal clustering that is discernible"
這句指的是
a frequency that is discernible, and a corresponding temporal clustering that is discernible
還是
a frequency, and a corresponding temporal clustering that is discernible

1. 只有"nets"是複數，所以是第一個。更前面的"(such)attention"是單數當然重點是整體文意要合理2. "the thythm"。字典查candence的意思你應該就能了解為何that是指the thythm3. 「(初次看)我會說(*1)」是你舉的第二個。要100%精確的話就看paper的內容(比如paper裡頭在講fractal dimension時就只有用在a corresponding temporal clustering上頭)(*1) ... that is(單數)，所以that的先行詞是單數名詞。最有可能是"a ... clustering"(單一個項目，最靠近，且意思上也合。"a frequency"太基本了，大家都知道的東西，不需要額外用"限定關係子句"來特別指明/說明這是啥)。但是若作者將 a frequency and a ... clustering視為單一整也有可能(畢竟我不是讀這行的，我只能猜)，所以我說要看paper之後的內容才能確定以上我都是從文意/字義去推導，不是靠套公式
