Soler, 22, batted .406/.500/.891 and a 1.391 OPS in 24 July games
for Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa after he was activated
from the minor league disabled list July 6 due to a right hamstring strain.
Soler this season has hit .360 with 16 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs
and 37 RBI in 42 games at Rookie League Mesa, Tennessee and Iowa.
He was also named MLBPipeline.com’s hitting prospect for July.
Soler could receive a promotion to the Cubs when 25-man rosters
are expanded in September.

Tseng, 19, was 3-1 with a 1.47 ERA in five July games for Kane County.
He walked just four and struck out 20 while holding opponents to
a .137 batting average and a mere 0.59 WHIP over 30 2/3 innings –
for best in the Midwest League. Tseng is in his first pro season
in America and has gone 6-1 with a 2.56 ERA, 0.938 WHIP and
an incredible 6.45 strikeout:walk ratio.
