Your government is going to invest in the following three fields. Which one do
you think is the most worthwhile? Why?
1. land exploration;
2. education; or
3. healthcare

When it comes to this issue, I believe that the government should spend the
funding on education. This is because cultivating children to be more
competitive is very important to a country’s development.
For example，I am taking the Toefl exam because I want to study new
technologies in the computer science in the US. The education in TW is losing
its competitiveness in this field. Many good teachers are leaving TW because
the local pay is way too low, comparing to other countries, like China,
Singapore or the USA. Therefore, if the government has more budgets, I believe
that it should spend the money on education to keep our good professors so that
we don’t have to leave TW for the higher quality of education.
