時代背景真的不同啊!!!
古代的河流、井水,還可以喝;
現代的河流、水溝,大部分是工業電鍍廢水、家庭廢水。誰敢喝啊?誰敢用來洗澡啊??
古天竺時期,世尊及弟子托缽乞食,也得仰賴民眾或國王供養,偶爾也有乞食不到或不足
時。
古中國時期,漢地高僧大德,知道漢人不喜乞食,且漢地災荒、戰爭頻繁,有些漢人連自
己都沒得吃。實在很難布施。開始了「叢林制度」,一日不作、一日不食。這也是順應地
方風土人情,不得不的改制。因地制宜。
現今台灣,喝的水(要繳水費)、用的電(要繳電費)、住的房子(要繳房屋稅、土地稅
)。這個很多無法叫政府布施給修行人的。
所以現今社會很難完全手不碰金銀的,也不能因為少數僧人起了貪念,就打翻一船人。我
們知道,還是有很多真正認真修行的比丘、比丘尼的。
大家都自負因果,要對自己的言行、心念負責的。
「佛門一粒米 大如須彌山 今生不了道 披毛戴角」

下列一則佛典故事:
與《雜阿含經》第一百○六篇及巴利聖典《相應部》第六篇、《增支部》第十篇的經文
完全相同。內容敘述僧團中有一名愚癡的比丘一直中傷舍利弗與目犍連兩位尊者的名聲,
甚至還跑到佛前誣陷他們。結果,這名愚癡的比丘立即遭受現世惡報,死後墜入蓮花地獄
。當目犍連尊者得悉後想要救度這名比丘,便以神通來到地獄,沒想到這名比丘死性不改
,反而更加深他在地獄裡的痛苦。
皈依三寶中的「皈依僧」,是皈依「一切僧」的意思,而不是只皈依某一位尊者或大
師。所以佛弟子千萬不要去詆毀任何的尊者或僧團。
任何的尊者與僧團,縱然在修行的看法或觀念上彼此有殊異之處,但只要他們沒有失
去比丘的身份,就代表著僧伽,值得在家弟子去頂禮、恭敬、供養!!
佛陀說過:
「若人故妄語  違越於實法
 不懼於後世  無有惡不造
 寧吞熱鐵丸  猛焰燒身遍
  不以破戒口  噉彼信心食」
上面偈語的意思是說:寧可口吞灼熱的鐵丸,被烈火燒遍全身,也千萬不要對他人做
出不實的污衊、毀謗與偽證,因為逞一時口快的這種惡行會令自己的來生下墮地獄,而地
獄之苦絕非人類的語言所能形容,也絕非人類所能想像。
又佛陀在《雜阿含經》第一百○六篇中說道:
夫人生世  斧在口中  由其惡口
自斬其身  應讚者毀  應毀者讚
如斯惡人  終不見樂  迦梨偽謗
於佛賢聖  迦梨為重  百千地獄
時阿浮陀  毀謗賢聖  口意惡故
入此地獄
上面偈語的意思是說:人生在世,惡口就像一柄利斧,口出惡言者,最後一定會砍傷
自己。應該要稱讚的人卻毀謗他,應該要毀謗的人卻又稱讚他,像這樣顛倒的惡人,最後
必將見不到任何的幸福與快樂。對佛陀及聖賢做出不實的毀謗,是一種很嚴重的惡業,因
為心懷惡意而口出惡言,必將於百千劫中在地獄裏受苦。
「謗僧」是重惡業,不但會障礙今生無法解脫,來生無法升天,甚至會下墮惡道或地
獄,實在愚痴,佛弟子千萬不可以身試法,願以此共勉之。
選譯自《增壹阿含經》
喬正一白話譯於西元2015/8/28農曆七月十五中元節八關齋戒日
我是這樣聽聞的:
有一次,佛陀住在古印度的舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園林裡。
當時,僧團中有一位名叫瞿波離的比丘來到祇樹給孤獨園林,他向佛陀頂禮後,便坐
在一旁,說道:「世尊,舍利弗及目犍連這兩個人造了很多的惡業。」
佛陀馬上勸阻瞿波離比丘:「你千萬不要這樣說,你來我這邊應該歡喜,舍利弗及目
犍連他們兩位並沒有犯任何的錯,他們從不為惡!」
但瞿波離比丘仍堅持己見,繼續指控舍利弗及目犍連兩位比丘很邪惡。
世尊告訴瞿波離:「你真是愚癡,竟然不信如來所說的話,還一直口出惡言指控他們
的不是。你今天造此惡口業,不久就會受到惡報。」
果然,瞿波離坐在位子上的時候,身體立即長出惡瘡,剛開始如芥子般的小粒,慢慢
變成如大豆一般,進而像胡桃,然後如手掌般大,並且流出膿血,散發四溢的惡臭,最後
死亡並墜入蓮花地獄。
這時,目犍連尊者聽到瞿波離比丘死亡的消息,趕到精舍,向佛陀請示瞿波離比丘如
今投生何處?
「他已墮入蓮花地獄之中。」
「那我到地獄去開導度化他。」
「目犍連,你不要去!」
但目犍連尊者仍堅持要去開導瞿波離。
佛陀便默然不作回應。
目犍連尊者便施展神通,頃刻間來到蓮花大地獄中。他看到瞿波離比丘的身體被地獄
的熊熊業火焚燒,又有上百頭牛正在犁刮他的舌頭。
於是,目犍連尊者在地獄的上空結跏趺坐,喚醒瞿波離,瞿波離醒來抬頭看並問:「
你是誰?」
「我是釋迦牟尼佛的弟子目犍連。」
沒想到瞿波離一聽,竟然說:「就算我今天墜入地獄,也絕不後悔先前說過的話!」
恐怖的是,話才一說完,立即出現千頭以上的牛跑來犁刮他的舌頭。
目犍連尊者看到這個恐怖的景象,心中很感慨,只好作罷離開,回到人間。
目犍連尊者向佛陀頂禮後,將地獄中所發生的經過稟告佛陀,佛陀說:「我之前不是
已經提醒過你,不要去見這個惡人。」
這時,世尊便說了以下的偈語:
「夫士之生,斧在口中,所以斬身。
 由其惡言,彼息我息,此二俱善。
 已造惡行,斯墮惡趣,此為最惡。
 有盡無盡,向如來惡,此者最重。
 一萬三千,六一灰獄,謗聖墮彼,
身口所造。」
世尊告訴諸比丘,當學三種法,成就修行:「身行善、口行善、意行善。」
比丘們聽聞佛陀的教誨後,皆心生歡喜,並依法奉行。

聞如是:
  一時,佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。
  爾時,瞿波離比丘至世尊所,頭面禮足,在一面坐。爾時,彼比丘白世尊曰:
  「此舍利弗、目揵連比丘所行甚惡,造諸惡行。」
  世尊告曰:
  「勿作是語。汝發歡喜心於如來所,舍利弗、目揵連比丘所行純善,無有諸惡。」
  是時,瞿波離比丘再三白世尊曰:
  「如來所說誠無虛妄,然,舍利弗、目揵連比丘所行甚惡,無有善本。」
  世尊告曰:
  「汝是愚人,不信如來之所說乎?方言:『舍利弗、目揵連比丘所行甚惡。』汝今造
此惡行,後受報不久。」
  爾時,彼比丘即於{坐}[座]上身生惡瘡,大如芥子,轉如大豆,漸如阿摩勒果,稍如
胡桃,遂如合掌,膿血流{逸}[溢],身壞命終,生蓮華地獄中。
  是時,尊者大目揵連聞瞿波離命終,便至世尊所,頭面禮足,在一面坐。{斯須}[須
臾]退坐,白世尊曰:
  「瞿波離比丘為生何處?」
  世尊告曰:
  「彼命終者生蓮華地獄中。」
  是時,目連白世尊曰:
  「我今欲往至彼地獄,教化彼人。」
  世尊告曰:「目連!不須往彼。」
  目連復重白世尊曰:
  「欲往至彼地獄中,教化彼人。」
  爾時,世尊亦默然不對。
  是時,尊者大目揵連如力士屈{申}[伸]臂頃,從舍衛沒不現,便至蓮華大地獄中。當
爾時,瞿波離比丘身體火然,又有百頭牛,以犁其舌。
  爾時,尊者大目揵連在虛空中結跏趺坐,彈指告彼比丘。
  彼比丘即仰問曰:「汝是何人?」
  目揵連報曰:
  「瞿波離!我是釋迦文佛弟子,字目揵連,姓拘利陀。」
  是時,比丘見目連已,吐此惡言:
  「我今墮此惡趣,猶不免汝前乎?」
  說此語訖,即其時以有千頭牛以犁其舌。
  目連見已,倍增愁悒,生變悔心,即於彼沒,還至舍衛國至世尊所,頭面禮足,在一
面住。爾時,目連以此因緣具白世尊。
  世尊告曰:
  「我前語汝,不須至彼見此惡人。」
  爾時,世尊便說此偈:
  「夫士之生,斧在口中,所以斬身,由其惡言,彼息我息,此二俱善。
   已造惡行,斯墮惡趣,此為最惡,有盡無盡,向如來惡,此者最重。
   一萬三千,六一灰獄,謗聖墮彼,身口所造。」

  「當學三法,成就其行,云何為三?身行善、口行善、意行善。如是,比丘!當作是

   181. Sāvatthinidānaṃ Atha kho kokāliko bhikkhu yena bhagavā tenupasa
kami upasa kamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamanta
ṃ nisinno kho kokāliko bhikkhu bhagavantaṃ etadavoca– “pāpicchā, bhante
, sāriputtamoggallānā pāpikānaṃ icchānaṃ vasaṃ gatā”ti. Evaṃ vutte
, bhagavā kokālikaṃ bhikkhuṃ etadavoca– “mā hevaṃ, kokālika, avaca; m
ā hevaṃ, kokālika, avaca. Pasādehi, kokālika, sāriputtamoggallānesu cit
taṃ. Pesalā sāriputtamoggallānā”ti. Dutiyampi kho kokāliko bhikkhu bhag
avantaṃ etadavoca– “ki鎍āpi me, bhante, bhagavā saddhāyiko paccayiko; at

amattīhi pī akāhi sabbo kāyo phu o ahosi. Sāsapamattiyo hutvā muggamat
tiyo ahesuṃ, muggamattiyo hutvā kalāyamattiyo ahesuṃ, kalāyamattiyo hutv
ā kola himattiyo ahesuṃ, kola himattiyo hutvā kolamattiyo ahesuṃ, ko
lamattiyo hutvā āmalakamattiyo ahesuṃ, āmalakamattiyo hutvā beluvasalā

   Atha kho brahmā sahampati abhikkantāya rattiyā abhikkantava o keval

bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ a hāsi. Ekamantaṃ hito kho brahm
ā sahampati bhagavantaṃ etadavoca– “kokāliko, bhante, bhikkhu kāla kato
. Kāla kato ca, bhante, kokāliko bhikkhu padumaṃ nirayaṃ upapanno sāripu

   Vicināti mukhena so kaliṃ, kalinā tena sukhaṃ na vindati.
   “Appamattako ayaṃ kali, yo akkhesu dhanaparājayo.
   Sabbassāpi sahāpi attanā, ayameva mahantaro kali.
   Yo sugatesu manaṃ padosaye.
   “Sataṃ sahassānaṃ nirabbudānaṃ, chattiṃsati pa鎍a ca abbudāni.

a kamitvā vehāse hatvā kokālikaṃ bhikkhuṃ etadavoca– “pasādehi, ko
kālika, sāriputtamoggallānesu cittaṃ. Pesalā sāriputtamoggallānā”ti.
“Kosi tvaṃ, āvuso”ti? “Ahaṃ turū paccekabrahmā”ti. “Nanu tvaṃ, āvu
so, bhagavatā anāgāmī byākato, atha ki鎍arahi idhāgato? Passa yāva鎍a t
e idaṃ aparaddhan”ti.
   Atha kho turū paccekabrahmā kokālikaṃ bhikkhuṃ gāthāhi ajjhabhāsi

   “Purisassa hi jātassa, ku hārī jāyate mukhe;

kkhu, vīsati abbudā nirayā, evameko nirabbudo nirayo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhu,

ā, evameko kumudo nirayo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhu, vīsati kumudā nirayā, evam
eko sogandhiko nirayo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhu, vīsati sogandhikā nirayā, evam
eko uppalako nirayo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhu, vīsati uppalakā nirayā, evameko
pu arīko nirayo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhu, vīsati pu arīkā nirayā, evam
eko padumo nirayo. Padumaṃ kho pana, bhikkhu, nirayaṃ kokāliko bhikkhu upap
anno sāriputtamoggallānesu cittaṃ āghātetvā”ti. Idamavoca bhagavā. Ida
ṃ vatvāna sugato athāparaṃ etadavoca satthā–
   “Purisassa hi jātassa, ku hārī jāyate mukhe.
   Yāya chindati attānaṃ, bālo dubbhāsitaṃ bha aṃ.
   “Yo nindiyaṃ pasaṃsati, taṃ vā nindati yo pasaṃsiyo.
   Vicināti mukhena so kaliṃ, kalinā tena sukhaṃ na vindati.
   “Appamattako ayaṃ kali, yo akkhesu dhanaparājayo;
   Sabbassāpi sahāpi attanā, ayameva mahattaro kali.
   Yo sugatesu manaṃ padūsaye.
   “Sataṃ sahassānaṃ nirabbudānaṃ, chattiṃsati pa鎍a ca abbudāni.
   Yamariyagarahī nirayaṃ upeti, vācaṃ mana鎍a pa idhāya pāpakan”ti.

難怪會說佛度有緣人,自己不肯醒一直裝睡的人,即使是佛陀在你身邊也沒用,搞不好還會增加瞋恨心。
